Jobs for Senior Web Designer

Job Requirements:

• 5-7 years designing for a large web agency or ecommerce site (financial services a plus)
• Sophisticated design sensibilities and a portfolio that shows a dynamic aesthetic range, suitable for a global commercial enterprise
• Flash expertise with proven ability to author complex applications or behaviors in ActionScript
• Deep appreciation for the value of research, testing and learning from customers, and a willingness to allow design solutions to emerge from it

Preferred:

• Experience designing for financial services
• Application programming (i.e., calculators, shopping carts)
• Usability (you’ve read Nielsen, Norman and Krug)
• Data visualization (you’ve read Tufte)
• Web standards (you’ve read Zeldman)
• History of thought leadership or entrepreneurship (e.g., published articles, design techniques, publicly showcased work, or speaking engagements) / gj-hh
