- Looking to bring on a Web Developer to provide development and testing support to an ongoing project with a Federal Agency based out of the Alexandria office.
Responsible for the following:
- Assist the team in analyzing requirements for implementation of software changes
- Code software changes to the Web application using Microsoft Classic ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, and other technologies
- Code MS-SQL Server 2000 stored procedures
- Assist in the documentation of software changes
- Conduct unit testing of software changes
- Assist in system, integration, and user acceptance testing activities
- Assist in production deployment of the software code
- Attend and participate on weekly and monthly status meetings
- Checking in/out software code and documentation from version control repositories in PVCS
Job Requirements:
- Good oral communication and writing skills; the ability to understand and convey complex business logic and design concepts
- Minimum of two years of hands on experience developing web applications with MS Classic ASP, HTML, VBscript and JavaScript
- Minimum of two years of hands on experience with SQL Server 2000 or 2005 (writing cursor, stored procedures, SQL queries using inner join, outer join, etc)
- Willing to work under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines
- Proven Team Player with initiative to resolve issues is a must
- Experience with version control tools, such as PVCS, SubVersion, or others is highly desirable.
- Experience with JAVA is desirable
- Government experience highly desirable
